How Cloudtim and M Moser Associates co-created a solution to make early-stage spatial data generation faster, smarter, and far more intuitive.
When you're designing complex spaces across the world, small decisions made early on can have massive cost implications down the line. Early-stage spatial data generation for workplace projects often remains one of the most challenging aspects of the design process. For a global practice like M Moser Associates, operating across multiple markets and project typologies, the opportunity lies in bringing numerical-based spatial data insight earlier into design discussions.
Like many advanced design practices, M Moser already works extensively with BIM. However, in highly iterative early-stage design, the team saw an opportunity to bring data-driven intelligence even further upstream before structured models are available.
This was the challenge we took on at Cloudtim.
We’re a Singapore-based startup, building intelligent tools that take the friction out of complex workflows. With our latest solution, we set out to empower design teams with real-time spatial data intelligence right from the earliest stages of the process. No heavy models. No endless back-and-forth. Just rapid, data-enriched insights that bring cost and design into immediate alignment.
Building a Solution with Real-world Insight
Our latest AI-powered solution was built with one clear objective: to bring real-time spatial data visibility into early-stage design discussions, without waiting for a full-fledged BIM model.
The technology uses a hybrid model that combines computer vision, object detection, semantic and instance segmentation, and reasoning capabilities. It can interpret and re-structure key architectural and interior layout elements directly from 2D plans, enabling faster insights without disrupting existing workflows.
We trained the system on over 100,000 tagged datasets from architects and designers, and shaped its structure with deep industry insights.
M Moser played an active role in defining what “early-stage spatial data intelligence” should look like in practice. The team challenged assumptions, not just tested features, making this a true co-creation with mutual learning between product developers and design practitioners.
It bridged the gap between developers and users, and reshaped how we think about building products.
The solution’s benefits are clear. It enhances collaboration by aligning teams more quickly, giving everyone a shared visual frame of reference for smarter, faster decisions.
What’s Next
We’re now focused on refining the user interface, improving the model’s accuracy, and integrating our solution into popular design tools like Trimble SketchUp. We’re also exploring customisation for M Moser’s Singapore operations, including connecting the tool to local data sets and tailoring the experience to better align with how teams work in practice.
The long-term goal? A flexible, cross-industry platform that supports early decision-making with speed and intelligence, and that people love to use every day.
The BEAMP difference
BEAMP has been instrumental in this journey. It gave us the space and structure to translate a powerful idea into a functional solution. It kept us grounded in real-world needs, while connecting us to experts who shaped our thinking at every step.
It’s rare to find a programme that brings startups and industry together with such clarity and purpose. BEAMP is highly focused, expertly run, and genuinely committed to innovation that matters.
Great things happen when you combine vision, technology, and collaboration in just the right measure. We’re proud to be building our solution here in Singapore, and even prouder to be part of a co-creation journey with M Moser Associates, exploring how technology and design expertise can work more closely together.
