In October 2016, UnaBiz was founded with a mission to accelerate the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technology globally, with a focus on Low-Power Wide-Area Networks (LPWAN). We started off by launching Singapore’s first nationwide IoT network, a collaboration with Sigfox, which is now available in more than 70 countries worldwide.
In 2022, UnaBiz acquired Sigfox, the French Unicorn and technology owner of "Sigfox 0G", a unique technology that leads the LPWAN market with a footprint in 73 countries globally. The technology enables Low-Power Energy-Efficient solutions that maximise the battery life of sensors. We have connected over 11 Million devices with our partners globally.
UnaBiz participated in the Built Environment Accelerated Market Program (BEAMP) in 2019, with the aim of developing an asset tracking solution in collaboration with Samwoh Corporation.
The solution was designed to improve resource allocation and worker safety in the construction industry. By leveraging the Sigfox 0G network and the latest GNSS module, the tracker provided real-time location and utility data of assets, which was used to schedule maintenance and plan relocation. UnaBiz gained valuable insights into the construction industry during this collaboration.
The BEAMP experience proved to be enriching for UnaBiz as we were able to meet all project KPIs and requirements successfully. We have since grown to win and deploy tracking projects worldwide for DHL, Loscam, Konvoy, and several other clients. UnaBiz's affordable custom tracking solutions provide end-to-end visibility of any asset-type, including location and condition of assets throughout the entire transportation process in a secure, reliable, and cost-efficient manner. With DHL, UnaBiz was able to help them improve their inventory management, and with Konvoy, the startup was able to reduce their keg circulation to three kegs for every keg in use (instead of the previous four), optimise their distribution routes and reduce lost and stolen kegs. To date, UnaBiz has connected over 2 million devices in supply chain and logistics, helping companies reduce the loss rate of their assets and improve inventory management and asset utilisation.
Apart from helping us add to our product portfolio, BEAMP gave us an opportunity to update our R&D capabilities, gather valuable feedback and pain points from customers, and boost the credibility of our platform. Since then, we have seen a significant increase in business enquiries, and our revenue is expected to increase many times over.
The great introductions made possible by BCA and Enterprise Singapore during BEAMP have also opened doors for UnaBiz and transpired into many wonderful parts of our growth story. We have built upon those connections and are continuing to gain further traction.
